It looks like I will be spending Spring Break in Germany! I emailed my aunt to let her know I'd be coming. Now I just need to book my flight! I have so much to do to prepare before then. I need a passport and lots of warm clothing. I need to arrange care for the boys. Ahh, I'm so excited! I regret that I can't take my boys, but they're so small the trip would be a waste and they just wouldn't handle the long flight well, at all. I hope we can take a trip to Paris while we're there. Paris...ahhhh. I wish I could move overseas. Hmm, there's a thought!

Well I have finally gotten costumes for both the boys! It took me 3 weeks of searching to find Ethan's costume in his size. It seems every little boy his age wants to be Woody. Must be hype from the new movie. I finally had to give up and order it. I found Jackie Bear's costume with no problem. He's going to be Buzz Lightyear. I'm trying to teach him to say, "To infinity and beyond." haha

Ethan's costume arrived a couple of days ago. He loves his costume, so much so, that he wants to wear it all the time. I actually had to hide it so he wouldn't mess it up. He'd sleep in it, if I let him. Jackie Bear makes a pretty darn cute Buzz too. I think I may have to take them, in costume, to see the new installment. =)

Oh and my cousin, he's such a badass, is going to be Bob Marley! I told him he had to come over so I could introduce him to Marley's music!

My birthday is quickly approaching. I'll be 24 on the 24th. It's a little disheartening to think that I'm almost a quarter of a century old. I know, I know, it could be worse. I'm still young. Blah blah blah. Shut up and let me bitch. Anyway, I'm hosting a Roaring Twenties party to celebrate. It should be a lot of fun. And I get to dress up!

I've also made the switch to cloth diapers. It wasn't a choice, but more a necessity. My poor baby has the most sensitive skin I've ever seen. After trying every brand of disposable, I have finally accepted defeat. Actually, I'm rather enjoying the cloth diapers. They're cute and they're saving me a ton of money. I even purchased some material so I could try sewing my own. We'll see how that goes.

Tomorrow, the hair gets chopped. I can't stand it anymore! I need short hair in my life. I also bought the best. shirt. ever.

Well, we're here in Dallas! I really love it here. My boys are having a blast too. Today we went to the fair. I'm not sure what was more fun: the Children's Museum or all the rides...? Ethan milked a fake cow at the museum. I'm pretty sure he enjoyed that more than he should've. And we went through the Spy exhibit, which was pretty exciting...for me. I'm such a CSI/NCIS/Law & Order nerd.

I also got an early birthday present from my mama. One of the local sewing stores had a booth, so, of course, we had to stop. That's when my mom decided to buy me a Janome... I can't wait to use it. It is so quiet and it sews like a dream. She's the best.

Tomorrow we're going to the zoo before we head on home. For now, I'm going to go lay down and let this blueberry pie settle.

I've been running all over town today, prepping for the shower tomorrow (well technically today since it's 1 a.m.). Who knew there was so much to do?! I did manage to squeeze in a little shopping for *me* today too. I bought some really cute fabric at Hobby Lobby. I swear that store is going to be the death of my bank account! I finished the quiet book and am working on the cake. I can't go to bed until I finish this fondant baby topper! It's going to be really cute.

After the shower, I've got to do tons of laundry and start packing for our trip to Dallas on Friday. State Fair, here we come!

Check out my flickr for pics of all the stuff I've made.

My cousin, and his girlfriend, are expecting a baby next month and I'm so excited! I'm going to be an auntie! Aww, I love babies!

Their baby shower is this weekend, hosted by moi. It will undoubtedly be a rockin' good time. In preparation of little Aiden, I've made a few things. My 3 yr old picked out the fabric I used. I do believe he has his mother's eye. The monkey flannel was from the remnants bin at Hobby Lobby, so I only had enough to make two burp cloths...if I'd had more I would've made two receiving blankets. Can't have enough blankets. =)

Oh I almost forgot! I made my Yorkie puppy, Gizmo, a bed. He hasn't moved since I put him in it, so he must like it. Isn't he precious?

I finished some more projects for my room. The redecoration project is almost complete. I am now in the process of cutting a bajillion squares for a rag quilt to put at the end of my bed. A tedious endeavor, I assure you.

I have finally started the bedroom redecoration project. I found some pretty fabric and a nice, simple, black comforter set and now I am ready to go. I have already finished the fabric wall art. I have several other projects in mind that will, hopefully, be completed this week.
